i guess where i left off
Every morning we'd walk out of our hotel and along the beach,
this particular morning it was magical ...
... i dont know if it was the sense of spirituality that was emitting from the Balinese
enacting their sacred Christmas rituals...
... i dont know if it was the quietness and serenity of the empty shoreline
toying with the monstrous crashes of falling waves...
... i dont know if it was the way the mornings light made the simplest of things glow...
all i know... it was something beautiful.
If we weren't walking on the beach we'd be doing other things, such as...
playing with the cousins
getting massages
sleeping like babys
soaking up the sun
exploring
shopping [Stuart Membry's famous house]
or eating..
our favourite meals from the whole trip go from most to least favourite
1. Sarong
2. Sardine
3. Metis
4. Trattoria
5. Ku De Ta
6. Potato Head
all of which were exquisite!
Sardine's surreal settings |
Potato Head's ultru cool vibe and atmosphere |
Metis' fine dining experience |
The Famous coconut ice cream served at The Legian upon request... mmmm mmmm |
After moving from our hotel (The Legian) in Seminyak we relocated to a villa in the forest of Cepaka. Cepaka was about a 45-50 minute drive from deep within Seminyak. It was a complete and utter dream come true. I will never be able to fully describe Villa Sungai which has been made famous recently in many travel magazines... ill leave you with these photos.
my outdoor shower - brilliant until the frogs come to join you :) |
i had the most unbelievable time in Bali- hopefully ill be returning in no time!
xxx
glad to be home
